As I read in the book I began to notice (just like anyone else who might of read the book) Charlie continuous emotional breakdowns. In almost every letter he has no control over his emotions. In the book he had two different types of crys, his panicky cry and him, himself crying. I believe that these crys are because of the constant mishaps in his life on top of the "abuse" that is concluded by the reader at the end of the book. I also think that Charlie was missing love. I noticed that when he wold ask his father about he sport his father would brush him off without any emotion. So much was being thrown at him in my opinion and he crashed Everything become so overwhelming for him that his only way to get rid of this panic and anxiety is to cry. About a third through the book I found myself wanting to tell him to suck it up and stop crying. Toward the end I did come to the conclusion that Charlie does have a problem and it's not just a matter of sucking it up. I think he simply had to find a place of security in order to resolve his issues.
