In the book ThePerks Of being a Wallflower by StephenChbosky is a series of letter in which to whom the main character is writing to, we don't know but assume it is to the reader. The book portratysthe life of a freshmen in high school named Charlie.Sincethe death of his best friend Micheal and his aunt Helen something has been different about Charlie. His aunt died on his seventh birthday and throughout the book he continually blames himself for the death. Everything seems to slowly go down hill. Up until freshmen year, Charlie had been in and out of hospitals and psychiatrists. He goes on this fun and exuberant journey with his new friends Sam, Patrick and the rest of the crew. Although, this seems fun, it opens him up to a wild and vigorous world of sex, drugs, drinking, pain, and new experiences. While this world is not the best, Stephen Chbosky shows readers the true experiences in high school. His style of writing reaches out to many.
